"We booked this hotel for its location and price, on arrival the staff were so friendly and welcoming, we extended our stay by 1 night, set in a lovely location. The night before we checked out we had already booked up to stay again for longer, this has now become our new hotel to stay in every time we come down to see family and friend. Excellent place 5 out of 5 all round. 👍👍"

"Room had not been cleaned properly, a dirty mug, bathroom floor dirty, beds not made up properly, no coffee ,and noise next room ! Disappointed!"

"Feels like a hotel that’s bitten off more than it can chew. Lack of towels and water in the room, had to ask for more. Spa facilities good, if not a little basic. Has a touch of a school or detention centre rather than a “luxury” spa hotel perhaps. Someone in the room next door woke us up at 6am with the most disturbing guttural noises. Bordering on vomiting, perhaps near death. Hopefully they made it to breakfast. Thin walls. Staff were friendly enough and the iron was clean at least."

"Room was clean, staff helpful. Enjoyed having air conditioning. Parking was easy. Location was great - we were able to walk all around the city centre easily and leave the car at the hotel"

"Staff were awful, no welcome drink as advertised, stood and watched both of us struggle with our luggage (through doors and up stairs), decor in the very dated, shelves hanging off the wall (room 104), toilet stank of urine (room 104)… All reported and nothing done at all. No staff at reception on a Sat morning to check out for 10 mins so we just left."

"Very poor greeting- unmanned reception- wait half an hour for someone to deal with booking me in! Unacceptable- the guy behind the bar, is not trained to hand a key over! Absolute joke"

"Check-in was easy. The room was at the far end of the hotel despite low occupancy. The property was a little tired but the rooms were comfortable, beds and shower good too. Breakfast was good. Be aware that there is a £5 charge for parking that we were not advised of at check in . This surprise was announced at check out the next day"
