"the room had a nice view and was very clean but small with only one chair. The heater/Ac was turned off but the ventilation periodically clicked on during the night disturbing my sleep. The breakfast was ok with plenty of room to sit. I didn't realize I had to pay for parking until I checked out. When I mentioned that upon checking out, I was told the form I signed when checking in stated a parking fee. I thought it was to absolve the hotel of liability for damages made to my car. I didn't mind the fee, but would prefer to have known about it. There was no open dining room/bar but there is a very good food court just a block away."

"Hotel Shattuck Plaza is perfectly located for a visit to UC Berkeley, less than a block away. I found everything about the hotel appealing, a nice mix of historic and modern. We had a fanaastic view from our room of the SF skyline and the golden gate bridge! The standout at the hotel was the staff. I especailly appreciate the young lady who checked us in, she made it so seemless and made sure the valet took care of our car, then greeted me by name throughout our stay. Looking forward to being a regular customer here when we come up to visit our daugther at college."

"We stayed because we went to a concert right across the street at the UC Theatre. That was a big plus because we didn't have to drive anywhere. Lots of restaurants around there and some smoke shops. Can't say anything about parking because we got dropped off. I will say the first room we were given hadn't been cleaned so it was a bit gross to see unmade beds and dirty towels. They did immediately put us in another room that was clean. We paid extra to have a private bathroom, and we were quite pleased with the size and cleanliness."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arden, the host was extremely helpful when needed. The hot tub was a plus with everything working. It is an older home with some wear, but perfectly fine to rent. I would definitely stay there again."

"Great room and view. Bed sheets and blankets were comfy, and best pillows ever. Lots of free coffee and water. Staff was super friendly. Parking was tricky because they don't allow trucks to park in their garage, so it was off-street parking or metered parking. Great air conditioning, TV, and bathroom. Lovely roof-top hangout area. Will definitely stay here again."
