"Hotel Morales is a real gem in the heart of Guadalajara. It is in the perfect location as it is close to all the main attractions of downtown and even a short walk to the major craft market. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options in including fruit, meats, bread and made to order eggs. The hotel itself is beautiful with great details and an inviting atmosphere. The room was spotless and well designed. My only complaint in there, was that the bed was too firm and so were the pillows, thus I did not sleep as I wished. I would also like suggest that they put some more water in the fish pond and add some aquatic plants. Other than that they have done a great job at creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel."

"The people working at the hotel were kind. The price was alright, although a bit expensive for the area. I do have a couple of not-so-great points to point out. The good news is that if you're coming from the Nueve Central bus station 0 the small one that serves only a few cities, Chapala, etc. There are a bunch of bus stations in GUAD. This is one of the smallest with extremely limited service. The unfortunate situation with this hotel is that there is nothing you would want anywhere near it. It's kilometers from Centro, and I walked dozens of blocks and couldn't find a place to eat. Maybe a couple local spots that most people would not want to eat at. That is the downside. The beds are too soft for my liking, sinking into them, and the fan in the room was beyond noisy. Just keep'n it real. Loved the nice people willing to speak English that were at the front desk, so thank you for that. I would not say the area in unsafe, at all. Lots of people selling things on the street, but that is not a 'safety' issue. One upsdied is that it is across the street from a huge WalMart. You can at least get fruit, and a few items there to eat. :)"
