"The property was perfect for our family of 6. The beds were so comfortable it was just like being at home. There were games and a basketball hoop which the kids loved. The showers pressure in the master bath was lovely. There were no hand/tea towels and we werent allowed to use the pallet fire even though there were instructions on how to use it."

La Rochelle was excellent value for money. The room we were in was tidy and clean, and had a basic kitchenette. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. I definitely recommend staying here.

The property is so well done with all the facilities you can think of crammed into a well designed silo space. Loved all the little industrial touches like light switches, kitchen drawers, taps etc. The sky light is great, could see a few stars when the clouds cleared with lights off. Try with the lights on too for a good view of the bed:)

Loved the room we had which had great views over the water. Room was cosy and clean. Great to have the pub next door for meals. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and views. To benefit from the views you do have to access the top units via a number of steps. the door lock key on our unit was difficult to use to open the door.

We stayed at Governors Bay so that we could be close to Christchurch, but not "in" Christchurch. Views from the hotel of the harbour were beautiful, Room was nice. Very quiet, minimal traffic. Would stay again, but next time we will choose a balcony room. Also, all rooms share toilet and shower Facilities

The rooms were spotless and the view from the veranda room was excellent. The location was also excellent as it was close to the beach and a number of restaurants in Sumner. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
