This is a fantastic place to stay on a visit to Taupo. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. The location is convenient near the town centre. We had a two bedroom unit that was perfect for a family of four. Would definitely recommend.

Newly renovated, the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The bathrooms especially were better than some fancier hotels I've stayed in. The staff were also extremely friendly, including the owner who is actively still improving their facilities. I've stayed in a few different affordable places now in Taupo. This has become my first choose.

The place was amazing exactly what we had been looking for and to be greeted with a smile and chat, everyone so friendly, the atmosphere there is hard to explain but it was beautiful. A stroll down the lake to all the cafes and restaurant. We had a lovely dinner we got everything we asked for and more. We will definitely be coming back again to beautiful Taupo.

Lovely motel, very conveniently located close to the lakefront. The property has been recently renovated in December last year. So the facilities (like the bathroom) were brand new! The space in the bedrooms has been used cleverly with enough drawers and closets for storage. Colin and Lisa are great hosts, too. Thank you for your hospitality. 🤗

Liked everything, although very little room to move in the toilet!! I forgot to tell the owner that the fridge in our room (room 4) wasnt going - we didnt realise till the morning when we were checking out, and I forgot to mention it, sorry. Not sure if it wasnt plugged in or what, but it definitely wasnt cold.........But we loved our brief stay, everything else was great, thank you :-)

Travelled as an extended family from Taranaki and stayed in the 3-bed unit. This was great. Plenty of space and all beds were comfortable. Aircon was reliable, tv had sky, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only critique was that the bathroom hadn't yet been redone - however this was expected to occur in next few weeks and based on the other remodelling work carried out we expect that to really enhance the unit. As an aside the motel has been updated significantly in the past 6-9 months. Work is ongoing in a few rooms but no on-site disturbances or anything to disrupt our stay so overall a great experience Location is good, and access in and out of town is easy (walkable if you wanted too) and each unit has its own carport. There is also a 4square and takeaways directly across the road. Would definitely stay again.
