"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"We spent two weeks in Japan, staying at several hotels and Airbnbs, and Moksa quickly became our favorite. The hotel is set on a stunning garden, and the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth. Compared to other places we stayed, Moksa offered spacious rooms with bathrooms completely separate from the showers, plus adorable, comfortable loungewear to wear around the property. We also loved the sauna and contrast therapy sessions, which were excellent value. This is absolutely a place I ’d...

"È bello trovare un albergo ancora in stile locale. Il personale è davvero gentile e disponibile, e questo ci è piaciuto molto.
I bagni/restroom in comune sono pochi: questo potrebbe essere uno svantaggio quando ci sono tanti ospiti presenti. Forse questo e l'arredo dei bagni un po' datato sono i punti dolenti del nostro soggiorno. I locali comunque erano sempre puliti e in ordine.
Le aree comuni sono in stile un po' retrò ma questo può essere un dettaglio caratteristico. La stanza da letto...

"This was an excellent property. Extremely spacious, especially for Japan and very quiet and comfortable. It is in a quiet area but close to restaurants, shops and public transport. Excellent attentive service and a great breakfast. "

"We stayed for 5 nights after a trans pacific flight. Location was amazing - 15 minutes walking to 3 stops. The tea service in the afternoon was lovely. Wish we had done the Japanese breakfast option more. Beds we're comfortable and staff was friendly. Great bathroom amenities and black out blinds. Shower was fine. I would stay here again - easy transport everywhere."
"The hotel is superb la!!!
1. Parking very convenient next door
2. Location 100/100 to be next to Kyoto Tower, rented our Kimono there and walkable to beautiful temple and places!
3. The onsen is good too, I particularly like the one with ice neck rest, 10-20mins only.
4. BREAKFAST is the highest standard for Japanese breakfast! Has Sashimi and all options!
5. Evening supper 9-11pm Ramen is good too, hearty
Not so good part: abit tooooo crowded and packed and touristy, and the shoe area can stink quite abit tbh..

"Wonderful clean room, kind staff, and fabulous Japanese set breakfast with garden view. Great amenities and good quiet location close to the Imperial Palace."
"We loved this hotel, and had a great 4 day stay in Kyoto. Very upscale and peaceful, in a quiet, non-touristy neighbourhood, with lots of convenient travel options. And we ended up in nearby underground jazz bar Zac Baran twice, as well as a tiny local restaurant about 15 minutes walk west, same side of street as hotel, called kawahigashi (it also says 'food and beverage' in English outside). We were the only people on a weeknight, with a single chef/server doing everything, and the food was phenomenal and reasonably priced."
"This was probably the nicest Hilton I've stayed in. The room was great, clean, modern, total black-out, well appointed. The restaurant options were great. We tried the rooftop, it was fine but the views weren't great. Definitely recommend it. "
