This hotel is located in a great area. It is right next to the shopping streets and within 5mins of the subway station entrance and bus stations. About a 10-15 minute walk to Gion. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Loved having a washer/dryer combo in the room. It actually died clothes much better than others I have used. The people working the best were so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

First experience with tokyu stay. Vloqn away by the cleanliness, design and space of the room and the price for what we got. Better than a 5 star hotel. Sound proofing was amazing. Even free drinks in the lobby. Washing machine was also a dryer and was clean as new and extremely quiet to run. Definitely would stay again

Newish hotel right in the heart of Kyoto. (In the massive mall shopping district) Short walk to everything. Very new and neat and clean. Reasonable prices. Comfortable room and beds. Bath and washer/dryer in the room. No room service etc but with the mall at the front door with any type of food imaginable there is no need. We had 3 lovely nights while on vacation. Would stay again!

Reception staff were all very friendly and present at any time of the day. They offered free drinks and sake in the lobby as well. Fantastic hotel in such an amazing location!! Literally steps from a massive shopping and food district. So convenient. The hotel was very modern and clean. We stayed in a room with a washer/dryer and small kitchenette area with dining table. We loved that the hotel offered free coffee/lattes from early in the morning until late at night. They also had a little refrigerator in the lobby with complimentary sodas. They also had wine or sake that I think was also complimentary but I am not certain because no one in our party drinks alcohol. The staff was very friendly too. I would highly recommend this hotel and would most definitely stay there again if I am ever back in Kyoto.

Wonderful stay in Kyoto with convenient location near bus, subway, Nishiki Market and Pontocho Alley. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Heads up kids over age 6 are considered adults for the room. Be sure to explore the alley ways off the market streets for fun bars and delicious food options. The free sake tasting was a fun treat as well. Would definitely go back.

Clean room, new and modern hotel, larger rooms, fantastically kind people on their staff, very helpful and good communication in English. They have their own stamp also! Perfect location, easy to find and get around Kyoto. It has an extremely quiet laundry system and a smart TV making it easy to stream or cast from your phone. Amenities were also available and stocked well, things like razors, tooth brushes, combs, and other misc toiletries. Available drink fridge & super easy luggage shipping & storage. Not a thing I could say about this place that was negative. Next time I’m in Kyoto I won’t look anywhere else.

We reserved this Tokyu Stay, as we have others, for the ability to do laundry in our room. This is a very handy amenity after traveling for a week or more. We also appreciated the free drinks (sake and soft drinks) in the lobby. The staff were very helpful. The location is in the heart of Kyoto's tourist district, which is good/bad. There are lots of restaurants and sites within walking distance. Subway/train/bus stops are nearby. But it was very crowded with tourists. The room was not very clean, with some hairs left over from previous occupants. And it was a bit worn. But I suppose that is to be expected. Overall it was a very good stay.
