The single bed room was exactly as described with ceiling fan, mini fridge, handwashing basin, tea and coffee making facilities and tv.
The window sash was broken therefore it could not be opened which made the room a little stuffy but otherwise it was fine.
Prices are so affordable, the staff were so lovely, i love how the pub is right downstairs and how the lovely cafe restaurant is right next door. Thanks for having us guys we will definitely be back
25yr female, booked room for two nights awaiting international flight over Christmas period. Felt v safe while alone, clean and comfortable.
Staff were great and food and commodity stores within walking distance.
Would book again.
I was very satisfied with the experience for a simple overnight stay. A typical suburban pub with basic shared facilities. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and if you like a classic old tiled shared bathroom from a different era in time, then this place is for you! Don't ever change it. The hotel is on a main road so you may like to pack some ear plugs. Frequent trains link Sydney CBD and buses with Sydney Airports being a short walk away. I'll most certainly stay again.
The only reason I’m not giving a 1 start is because the room was actually nice and clean. HOWEVER I wouldn’t recommend females stay here alone. The room I was given was at the opposite end of the hall way to the women’s toilets and
Only needed to stay one night, but it was fine.
Bedroom small, but clean and tidy, with tv, fridge, aircon etc. (but no chair).
Shared toilet / bathroom not ideal, and the (one!) urinal was partially blocked.
Liked the bar downstairs though!
Great café next door for breakfast.
The 2 ladies who checked me in were absolutely beautiful! (One offered me a very much needed bottle of water after a long trip). The area is easy access to multiple shops so its convenient and you can grab a taxi/uber out front easily!
It had everything needed for a simple one night stay - a secure swipe card system, a good TV, tea and coffee making, a large comfortable bed and the share bathroom was clean with a good shower. Other reviews mentioned slow hot water (as did the manager) but I had no problem with it - it came straight on.

Liked: Cleanliness
The room looked fantastic, great size and comfortable beds. There are shared toilets straight across the hall. It was gig night and there is no air conditioning.
The windows would not close and the road is very noisy. The traffic lights made the “walk” noise all night.
There is a huge advertising billboard straight outside the window that shines light into the room all night. The blinds do not work well at all so it’s like staying in Tokyo.
Country vibe recommended for overnight stays only.
Ours was an overnight stay to see a show. Though basic our room was clean and tidy, and the bed comfortable. For the money it was excellent value and very close to the railway station.
Our room was on the third floor, and there are no lifts. Be aware of this if you have heavy luggage. We had a shared bathroom and though it was clean and tidy, there was no hot water. Not all rooms have air-conditioning which is reflected in the price. We'll certainly stay there again, but for overnight stays only.

So woke to a cockroach walking on my bed, loud doors being slammed and loud beeping noises outside. The air con was not working, the tea cup was a shocker. All in all, It was a cheap and convenient stay that could and should have been better. The towels are so worn you wouldn’t use them to clean the car. But the staff and cleaner were very helpful. Bring your own pillow!
it was a great hotel with cheap price.
location was great and, near to train station with 5min walk.
better than other shared bathroom hotels because there are 3 bathrooms: male/female/unisex.
and your room inside also got own basin, so, no need share bathroom for face wash, brush teeth, handwash, etc.
the rooms use card system and no need to lock by hand.
it’s good to tap, better than the key, but the 3rd night (around 2-3am after used bathroom), i was stuck outside the room due to the room lock error.
had to go down to the slot machine room to ask for help.
Luckily, found a phillipino security uncle, who called the manager and solved the issue in no time.
overall my 3 days stay there was perfect and still will choose the hotel if visit sydney again.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
No pillow cases on the pillows.
A pile of what I assume are old sheets on the floor of my room. It appears the room was serviced, but not completed. Other than that the room was about normal for a low priced pub.
The hot water in the shower took a while to come through. Toilets and showers were clean.
What I liked about the property was the price. It was fairly cheap. The room was neat and tidy.
What I didn't like was the traffic noise which is not the hotel's fault. I just didn't realise how noisy the passing traffic would be.
But what I REALLY didn't like was the hot water/shower situation. I was told that you'd need to run the hot water for 10-15mins to get the water hot. He wasn't wrong, I gave up after about 6 mins because it was just a waste of precious water.
So, stay there for the price, but please don't take a shower.
The staff were all very friendly. Towels were clean. And the hotel is what it is, one step up from a backpackers or hostel. You have your own room and share a shower with the whole floor. I brought flip flops (jandals) to wear in the shower so I did not pick up any sort of fungus.
My issue with my stay was that the carpet in the room was absolutely disgusting. It was stained and a bit sticky - I had to wear my shoes the whole time and then clean the soles of my shoes once I left the room. There is no air other than a ceiling fan, so I opened the window. It was very heavy and would not stay up on its own, slamming down very hard. It was a miracle the glass did not break which I would have been charged for. The only thing available in the room to keep the window ajar was the trash can. It was tricky to hold the window up with one hand to then place the trash can underneath to hold the window open.
I was also warned not "lock" my door from the inside or I would be permanently locked inside, that the latch itself would protect anyone from entering. When I got to my room, there was tape all over the door lock holding it together, especially inside the room. I did not feel safe in any way.
This should have all been disclosed when renting the room and there should have been a discount on the room as well. Bait and switch as what is marketed on the site is not what I received.
The room was large but shared toilet/shower. Stained chairs and bedspread. Air con works well. The biggest issue was the street noise. It was cheap, and it has good connection to airport, not withstanding the fact the bus doesn't go to domestic at early hours, and there is no street guidance. So, you need navigation software. Enjoyed the pub downstairs, and a $10 meal at nearby mall.
