On Friday night when we returned to the motel we found that the one and only elevator for this establishment was out of order and we (72yr M and 67yr F) had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to our room. The cafe is advertised on their website as available for breakfast and dining, but it was open only for breakfast. The parking area is so tight that one has to be extremely careful when going around corners. Most turns require reversing etc a couple of times.

A hidden gem in the suburbs

Nice & quiet suburb to stay near to public transport frequently to the CBD. Hotel customer service was good and special shout to the housekeeping staff which was frequent and great even during public holidays. The cafeteria below was reasonably priced and had nice breakfast options.

Staff were very, very nice. Our room was at the front of the building and we heard traffic loudly all night and morning. Not the motels' fault but we also heard the garbage disposal for ages sometime after midnight, that's how loud it was.

Basic accommodation, you get what you pay for- more expensive, much nicer. Really clean, staff couldn't do enough. Could use a reno of the basic rooms- grouting coming away from the tiles around the bath made the tiles sharp. Fridge didn't work to cool in the basic room. Upgraded- better accommodation, better appointed with working appliances. Cooktop old, but overall kitchenette nice , room a nice place to stay.

Disappointing price for Friday night. Room was dusty around the bed head and tables, very noisy from housekeeping trolleys outside from early each day. TV reception on a lot of Chanel’s did not work or was pixilated. Silicon around bath and vanity showed evidence of mould at the edges.

No helpful info on arrival (limited schedule for courtesy bus, quick garbled instructions with a pointing gesture regarding restaurant hours, no guidance on 'how to" in room eg. TV instructions, couldnt dial reception etc). Room was lovely, spacious and air conditioned and tea & coffee supplied but no toaster or microwave in room, and when we requested them we were denied. We were apparently in a "basic" room. The housekeeping staff were a delight, always friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept tidy and clean. I received a minor injury from the door of reception and the manager was very attentive and dressed the wound for me until I was able to get some dressings.The parking was easy and convenient so that was a big help in the middle of Burwood. The nights were also surprisingly quiet for an inner city accommodation. So while it wasn't perfect, now I'm aware of how it works I would stay there again.

The room wasn't ready, as were a lot of rooms of people checking in. They might need to change the check in time given the shortage of staff. The room was clean and had everything you needed. The issue was the bed was rock hard. Add to this there was no sound protection from the road out the front or late arriving guests and I barely slept. Almost reached the point of thinking I should just get up and start driving back home early, but would have been an expensive shower! If you like a hard bed and nothing keeps you awake, it would be a 4 star place for you. If you don't like sleeping on a table with a sheet over the top and loud noise until the early hrs of the morning stops you from sleeping, I'd look elsewhere
