Great B&B

Absolutely great B&B! Fantastic choices for breakfast, which was simple the best we’ve ever eaten in a B&B. Everything super clean, and the attention to detail made this place special. Great care taken to cater for dietary requirements including gluten free biscuits in the room. Lovely shower and spotless bathroom.

Everything about the guest house was superb, including the en-suite bedroom and the breakfast. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, they even made our dog welcome with dog bowl, blanket, towel and treats in the bedroom. It was the perfect end to out fortnight's walking holiday on the South West coastal path and we would certainly stay at Taunton House again if we ever returned to the area.

Wonderful bed and breakfast guest house in Swanage

Brillant place to stay! Michele and Bill are excellent hosts and make you feel very welcomed. Tauton house is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme - which is very appropriate with its proximity to the sea at Swanage - and well maintained. Wonderful breakfast. We would highly recommend and intend to stay again.

A welcome stay

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for a long weekend visiting Swanage and could not have found a better B&B. Michele and Bill are lovely, friendly and welcoming hosts and have created a fantastic, clean and well furnished B&B. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts here which were cooked to perfection and could be fully customisable, such a good start to our days thank you :) We stayed in the top room which was spacious and had it's own spotless toilet and shower. Parking is available behind the house and the seafront is a stone's throw away. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Very welcoming

Lovely home, friendly atmosphere and dog treats! Who could ask for more. Close to the high street and seafront. Good breakfast. Only downside for us was the parking...we were coming from different directions and there is only one spot included with the room - absolutely understandable but left me with having to park down the road in the long term car park. But at only £8 for 24 hours we were fine with that. We would stay again if we find ourselves back in Swanage.

Perfect comfort

Stays in B&Bs don't come better than one with Bill and Michelle - and I hate B&Bs usually I'm strictly a hotel person, but for me this is much more of a small boutique hotel. Love it here & proximity to great diving & the amazing Black swan for dinner completes the perfection.

An ideal location for visiting nearby attractions, Swanage town centre and the beach. The owners were very friendly and were COVID aware. The room was clean and the breakfast was exceptional. The parking for the property was the only real issue but it is to be expected when close to the town centre.
