"We stayed in the Gypsy Caravan - it was definitely a unique experience and highly recommended for those with a spirit of adventure. Vinegar Hill pottery is a great place to visit with excellent hosts. Thanks for a great stay"

"Brilliant stay here.. beautiful country location but close to the town. The ladies who greeted us and looked after us were friendly, accommodating and just genuinely great people. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope we will be back"

"Great location, less than 30 seconds to the quay. Room had everything you'd expect from a b&b. Fabulous breakfast, there was even an option of standard or large size! Would stay again if we're in the area. Friendly, welcoming host."

"I chose this hotel because I assumed it would be old fashioned and full of character. So it turned out to be.
It is very conveniently located.
Inside is very comfortable if a little tired in places. The chairs are buttoned leather and the clientele at the time I stayed were in their golden years.
Our room was very spacious but oddly shaped. It all added to the charm.
Recommended."
"The hotel has great views, but the hotel needs some updating.
The bathroom was tired looking the bath is very small and lots of mildew around the bath. The sink tap leaked the whole time.
The Gym - most of the cardio machine were out of order."
"Spent 3 nights at this hotel had a sea view room 207 which was lovely. Parking at the back of hotel £15 per night on a first come first serve basis, friendly staff. Rooms cleaned every day and coffee tea and milk topped up plus water in the fridge. Hand wash lotion shampoo conditioner in room.A 10 minute walk down to the pier which has a large hill to walk back up. Very central. The hotel has a lovely breakfast with a lot of variety friendly waitresses , if wanting to stay in the hotel the drinks are reasonably priced. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening as we liked to try different places which was worth doing .well worth try Harry Ransom’s fish and chips.Tourist information near the pier to give advice. Would highly recommend exploring outside hotel but you could always use a taxi instead of walking up the hill. If we ever went back to Bournemouth we would use this hotel."
"It was not mentioned in advertising / booking but on arrival I was told there was a £20 charge to use the spa for the duratin of my stay. I declined and used the pool only.
Neithe was it clear that parking in the road immediately outside the hotel was Free. whereas parking in the hotel a mere 25 feet away from the road it was £10 per 24 hrs adding £40 to my stay. You shoul adveritse clearly and responsibly."
"I've stayed in this hotel many times, as it probably the nicest hotel in Bournemouth. However, that is not to say it doesn't have its issues. Given it's an old hotel that has been modernised, there is a lot of issue with noise, particularly between the floors - you can hear every footstep someone makes above you, that is not an exaggeration. The doors on the rooms are not on soft closers to prevent slamming, so you will encounter a lot of noise if you have fellow guests who are less considerate with not closing the door quietly, and letting it slam.
Staff in the restaurant and bar are ok - just ok. You will often be waiting a while to served or even acknowledged, but once you have they are friendly. Reception staff are a mixed bag - some very kind, helpful and cheery, but one woman on my most recent stay was curt and barely made eye contact with me.
Food served in the restaurants is nice, but not exceptional.
All of these issues are exacerbated by knowing what you are paying to stay there. This hotel is not cheap!"
