The place needs a face lift, a room over a pub that looks tired. However the staff are brilliant, so lovely and helpful. The food is good value for money, pub grub. Location is great if you want the beach. If you like a good walk, 3.5mins (1hr 15 mins) to Bournemouth Pier.

Fantastic location just across from the sea. Lovely to have a fan provided in the room as, being on the top floor it did get quite warm. Good choice for dining and breakfast was ample. Simple food but well presented and on the whole tasted great! Rooms were pretty well equipped although could have made use of a chest of drawers. Plenty to do in the area. Thank you

The Venue was very good nice clean room and bed Breakfast next morning was excellent Will definitely visit again
Pleasent stay, very dog friendly, lovely staff and great location for walks by the beach. We also had dinner and breakfast in the pub and both meals were really good.
Firstly we have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. The property is old and consequently does not have that modern minimalistic feel to it. I think the beds could do with replacing as you can feel the springs through the mattress topper. The stairs are a challenge on par with climbing Snowden. So why did we come back? The Staff and ambience and the quality of the food and the feeling that you belong here and so welcomed. I love it. The patrons are warm and friendly and happy to chat with you. The staff are wonderful and I have to say that Ben is amazing. He sees what’s going on around corners and they all work hard. We were sorry to leave and will definitely be back.
It's the location that brought me here. Across the road from the cliff tops with adjacent bus stop to take you to Christchurch or Bournemouth and Poole. It's a pub. Some friends and I had a very nice lunch on a hot busy day. I needed ice to keep medication "refrigerated" and the bar staff and housekeeping staff were extremely helpful. Cleanliness was good. The room had been cleverly modernised but was basically in an old building. You couldn't see the beach because it was at the bottom of a cliff. But you could see the sea. I'd stay again.

We were in room 2, it really needs an update. I appreciate it is a corner attic room with sloping ceilings but having to be on your knees to have a shave is not good enough.
Hotel was fine ample park in car park not so true.. but freee parking on the road, was only £80 so not bad, was bank holiday so service wasn’t great at in in the pub, food was average but expected maybe at the price
Small and friendly establishment, clean with wonderful views of the sea. A little too far from Bournemouth centre but would stay here again.

Average over priced
Thought was a little expensive for a room above a pub . Very basic met my needs but was extremly busy and the steaks were over cooked but this was resolved but duty manager who was very helpful . Check in was not great stood in middle of bar till someone was free and then was quite a lengthy check in . 2 flights of stairs to my room . View over back kitchen area . For £99 thought abit over priced stayed better .
Great stay, all the colleagues were lovely. Especially the lady behind the bar. She was superb. The manager was very understanding and really made me feel welcome during my stay.
Room is very compact and far too hot in the evening with only a tiny window to open making a good nights sleep impossible. Room was clean but found a used condom in the bin. No hot water for a shower on last day. Very friendly helpful staff
Hotel ok for our requirements. Staff helpful. Food below average. No hot water on Sunday morning and cold shower just before checkout not acceptable. Average hotel and not good value as breakfast extra but cannot daily the staff for trying very hard.
