"We stayed in room 5 for two nights. It was comfortable but the room did get hot at night. There was some damage to the carpet but we were told by the cleaning staff that it was due to be renovated shortly. Overall our stay was quiet and comfortable. We recommend The Ship for breakfast and dinner, particularly if you're staying in the week as they have good offers."

"First time here , but the rooms were fairly spacious , clean, and I always check mattress! Excellent , good lighting , lovely bathroom items provided , shampoo etc, my only wish would be that the shower wasn’t in the bath ! Due to bad knees , but water hot and good pressure , tea coffee fasciitis provided in room , we ate in the restaurant , food was great , well priced , and hot on arrival. Breakfast included , buffet style , good , plenty on offer , ( but the tea was not very warm , ) all in all great value for money , very friendly staff in all areas , and I’d definitely stay here next visit to Irvine . ⭐️"

"Staff were absolutely phenomenal all round. Rooms were super clean and beautifully presented. Pool sauna steam room and gym were all great. Would definitely recommend staying here and we look forward to coming back one day."

"Overall, this wee hotel was excellent. We stayed there 3 nights with my kids. Staffs are outstanding, we had to check in after midnight. After wondering around the pub, bit worried, then call to their number and staff let us checked in. They were extremely helpful and friendly . I am not sure about customer service desk in the pub. Sometimes, bar staffs are little rude .. when hotel guest asks them for anything .. mistakenly! The hotel is in great location, lots of amenities around, lots of parking."

"The room was very small. The bathroom was tiny with nowhere to hang things, not even a toilet roll holder and the floor was quite dirty. However we had a lovely sea view. The staff were great and the breakfast was very good. We ate there, as there wasn’t anywhere else in the immediate vicinity to eat. The food was good. We had onsite parking."

"We really enjoyed our stay - we had one minor request of the host, who personally attended to it within 90 mins, going beyond our expectations.We also appreciated the information provided abut local amenities, especially restaurants and cafes."
Laighdykes Guest Cottage - Charming Coastal Getaway

"We enjoyed a two night stay in the property which is adjacent to the main house. We were able to park right outside on the drive making it easy to unload the car. The check in was simple with a key code access provided by the host prior to arrival. Communication was excellent Richard was attentive and friendly. Although there are two bedrooms only one was accessible the other being locked off. The main accommodation was lovely clean and tidy with a TV in both the lounge and bedroom areas. The lounge is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom had a very comfy double bed and an en suite with a shower. This is the only toilet in the property I belive, which may prove tricky if other people need access during the night. However that wasn't the case for us and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in future."
