I loved that it was less than a block from the beach, and only 15 minutes from historic St Augustine. The ambience of the hotel was unique and fun. They are currently under construction, which put a little damper on the ambience, but it was nothing that significantly impacted the quality of our stay.

The front desk was friendly and prompt, but there were vehicles parked all over the place so parking was a pain, and they dont tell you until you get there that you have to pay for parking. The tour trolley also comes through and it congests the parking area. The room was average, but not fully clean. There were no lights over the bathroom sink area, but a standing floor lamp unplugged in the corner. The safety locks on the door were improperly installed. The showers water pressure was so bad you could barely rinse the soap off. The pillow cases were dirty, and there were bugs in the room.

The hotel did not have a disclosure that I saw about reconstruction; which didn’t bother us too much until we were trying to go to the beach through the side door and they had it blocked off so we had to go all the way around. Pretty dusty and I’m sure noisy for some. Housekeeping came and took out our trash on day 2 but didn’t do anything else. On day 3 we didn’t get any housekeeping and had full trash cans with pizza boxes on top. The lighting is terrible. There’s several light switches that don’t connect to anything. There was only a lamp in the bathroom so doing make up was hard bc it was super dark. There’s no shelf or stool or side of the shower to prop your leg on so shaving was impossible. 3rd floor hallways were dark too. I know these may all sound silly but we were hearing the same complaints from other guests too that were frustrated.
