"We loved our stay at the Hotel Zelos. The rooms were clean and neat and the bed was so comfortable. The front staff was very friendly. Our only issue was with the staff in the dirty habits restaurant. They were very inattentive and slow to serve. But overall the hotel is an excellent place to stay in the downtown area. We saw lots of interesting people on the streets but never felt unsafe."

"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. The room I stayed in was okay. The bathroom was small and the furniture was peeling. How you watch TV in the room was a little new which was appealing. "Beds are comfy , no issues with the water using shower, getting ice is a bit odd to ask downstairs, people will be talking and yelling early morning and at late night but this is SF so its not hotel's fault. There is a liquor store next door you can grab things and a donut shop as well.buses are all around to use. I will come again very soon to this property"
