Bed and Breakfast in South Central Alaska

"Overall, we had a great stay at Alyeska. The room was clean and recently renovated, and the beds were very comfortable. The shower had strong water pressure and the hot and cold water came through quickly. The hair dryer was a T3 and worked well. The only issues we had were the resolution of the T.V. in the room was a little fuzzy and our room was supposed to have bathrobes but it did not. The restaurants we ate at were very good. Unfortunately, the aerial tram was down for annual maintenance so we did not get to experience that. "

"Baseboard heater ! Needed to get on my knees to turn it on. Keurig provided, but no cups or coffee supplies. Dog hair on surfaces. BASEMENT room with window view to a concrete wall. No need to say more. Ugh!"

"The carpet in the hallways needs to go"

"Front desk clerk yelled at me when I asked to repeat what she said. We asked if there was a bathroom on that level. She barked “no”. It was a long drive and it took a long time to check in. The door to our room was wide open and blocked by dirty towels when we got there. Parking was easy. Bathroom was old and strange shaped but clean. "

"We didn’t use the kitchen but it had a stove, large refrigerator with ice maker and a microwave. Interior was neat and clean. It was a self check in, easy instructions and our code were emailed hours before check in just as was stated they would. The only thing we noticed missing was bath soap of any kind. The exterior grounds looked like we were at a construction site with some kind of big equipment beeping at 6 something in the morning while backing up. "

"Great location, in the middle of downtown. Very clean, friendly staff. A draw back is the distance from the front desk. The room can easily be located almost a quarter mile from the front desk."
