Beautiful B&B with a Scottish vibe, run by Gwen and Marc, a very friendly couple. Super large, clean room. Great breakfast in lovely family room. We were very happy to stay there and will certainly come back when in Anchorage again

What an amazing place to stay! Beautiful property inside and outside. Alot of thought has gone into achieving the ambiance for this home. We loved the Honeymoon Suite. Gwen was a great host, very responsive, helpful, and made our stay special. Enjoyed breakfast - thank you Chef Mark.

This was the perfect stay for a relaxing start to a vacation. The house was decorated beautifully, the linens were soft and every piece of furniture, including the mattress was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the hot tub was perfect. Our room also had a soaking tub and a great shower. We highly recommend this if you're looking for some relaxation and comfort while IAnchorage!

The bathroom was amazing. Great quality toiletries and thoughtful little amenities. Very comfy bed. A nice touch to have an available ice machine and refrigerator. Gourmet breakfast. Beautiful gardens. Rooms are upstairs though and the listing didn't say that, but there is an available stair lift.

From the easy check in to the breakfast in the morning, everything was perfect. We were in Room 2 and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have experienced away from home. I haven't slept that well in days. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I would recommend this for a one night stay or longer. It was very relaxing and restfull. Quiet and very comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant. I would give more than 5 stars if it had more on the survey. One of the best places I have stayed at anywhere.

I didn’t get to explore all the rooms of the property. Wish we had had more days. Breakfast was yummy and the ladies served us even though we were very late coming down from the bedroom. Our bedroom was perfectly located. # 5 was 50’ from the luxurious hot tub and right beside the laundry room where I washed out enough clothing to fly home decently. Everything had an old world flavor and was tasteful. I bet the resident Saint Barnard was overwhelmed when snow comes!

Heaven in Anchorage. We walked in and it was like family welcoming us home. It is a beautiful home, lovely thoughtful details throughout all the guest areas — tea waiting, inviting fireplace, comfortable beds, well lit, beautiful rooms and lovely breakfasts in the great room — and friendly owners who want to make sure you have everything you might need. This is a lovely place to rest and come back to, we can’t wait to visit again. Can’t recommend this highly enough!

This is an elegant, spacious, and beautifully decorated bed and breakfast. It was even better than I had expected. The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub with its view, the coffee and tea service, the early morning breakfast, and the warmth and graciousness of the host family.

We stayed at Highland Glen Lodge on our last night in Alaska. We saved the best for last. There were so many perfect details in this home including, imported tea in our rooms, robes in our room, conversations with the owners, scrumptious breakfast, and beautiful views. It was perfect.

Quaint and Quiet

The Highland Glen Lodge was such a gem. The house is absolutely beautiful and the location was so serene. The owners were friendly and helpful and have thought of everything for your stay. I did stay with my 11 year old and I might say it is not the best for kids. It was so quiet I was afraid he was going to make noise and disturb others. We whispered the whole time haha. I would definitely recommend to others visiting Anchrorage and looking for a wonderful experience.

The Highland Glen Lodge was a welcome, soft place to land after exploring the magnificent state of Alaska for three weeks. Our room was immaculate, beautifully appointed and had many thoughtful amenities. (Another major plus was that guests were able to use the laundry facilities. Very helpful!) Breakfast was delicious and we were absolutely charmed by meeting and chatting with the owner and her family. Would love to stay here again!
