"This hotel was excellent! I would give it 10 stars! Our room was unique in that the restoration to preserve the previous Mill was seen everywhere on the grounds as well as our room. The breakfast was also excellent. Hot homemade grits, biscuits, gravy, eggs & sausage was all included. The staff were all very friendly & helpful from checking in & the breakfast staff. I hope one day I get to return to the City Mill Hotel."

"The beds were comfy and the host kind and responsive, but this unit was far below expectations. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. We saw and had to kill at least 5 roaches in the kitchen. Internet was extremely slow so we could barely watch TV and I had to set up a personal hot spot for my work computer to be able to even read emails. The floor felt grimey and the unit was not stocked with cleaning spray to wipe down surfaces during our stay. This unit felt like a cheap college apartment and if we had not slept well the fiest night,, I would have asked for a refund and left. "

"Newly renovated…not in our opinion. Nice kitchen appliances, I will give them that. First impression starting at the units door…dirty and marked up. Bathroom…bathtub faucet leaks constantly….had mold around half of tub…had to clean it. Shower head great pressure! Found dirty rag on living room floor, plus over a dozen of elastic hair ties over the entire unit, used coffee pod in coffee maker tray, under the bed a spoon, fork, and some clothing(no pictures because my husband say it. If I had looked…I wouldn’t have returned for the last night). Did communicate all of these items to the owner, as most had to do with the cleaning of the unit. Owner was receptive and said he would handle things with the cleaning company. They definitely are not doing their job! The faucet in the bathroom sink didn’t work properly. The unit had a funny smell to it. Lastly, the hall outside of the unit smelled like smoke….actually saw a lady walking with a cigarette. The unit definitely needs some work to be considered renovated, and needs a cleaning company that actually takes pride in their work. Our next trip to visit family…..definitely won’t stay here."
