"To be honest on arrival, from the outside we wasn't expecting much. But as I've always been told " never judge a book by it's covers" the hotel lobby and the downstairs were very pleasing on the eye.... We had a standard double suite, and on opening the door, loved it, it's was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom.... What can I say a double shower and a extra large bath! The bed was comfortable,the price we paid for what we got were very acceptable, then there was the additional bonus of a free breakfast. I have read quite a few reviews for this hotel and personally cannot understand where you are coming from. We have booked for Christmas "

"My wife and I loved our stay at Karema. The room was spotless, breakfast was good, only a 10 min walk to the train station and 10 min walk to the beach, so the location was excellent. We would definitely stay there again."

"I was pleasantly suprised with how good the Singlecote hotel was. I wasn't expecting much given the cost of the room but it was fantastic value for money. The hotel and room was spotless and the complimentary continental breakfast was superb. There was so much fresh choice. If i am ever down from Scotland again, then i will definitely stay here again. "Room size was very good, we stayed in a twin room. Lovely walk in shower room. Everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Tea and coffee making facilities. Only downside was there's not a mini fridge in the room. Lovely and clean and we will definitely be staying again. Excellent value for the money] money and plenty of free parking. Much closer to the town centre than we had anticipated. Great stay thank you "
