"Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our room, cannot fault her at all, very polite and kind. The room itself was lovely, nicely decorated, bigger than expected, nice bed(a little soft mattress for our liking but that’s personal preference). The room was generally clean other than a stain on the carpet and one on the bedside lamp. Bathroom was spotless. Was rather warm in the room but we were there during a heatwave and a fan was in the room already, maybe could have done with a thinner duvet. We ate there the first night, fish pie was really good so recommend that! Breakfast was pretty good too. Thought parking may be limited but we had no trouble parking at all. Staff were all really nice. Would certainly return."

"Would be better if there was air conditioning in the rooms. They do offer a fan if needed though. We also asked for a kettle in our room which was much better than walking down the corridor in my night dress to get a drink from the drinks station in the corridor. Over all..more than happy to stay again."

"As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a friendly smile and a can do attitude. The rooms are lovely and clean and everything you would expect to find is there - even an ironing board. Breakfast was good with a varied selection of cereals, fruit and cooked items available. No drama. The Exeter Holiday inn express gets my 10 out of 10"

"We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was actually very cool once the windows were open. Each room also had fans but we didn’t actually need these in the end despite it being very hot outside. Staff were very polite and friendly. We ate in the bar and couldn’t fault the food. It can get quite noisy if there are big crowds, so if you want a quiet meal I would avoid the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
