"We had a truly lovely time, staying over Christmas. Plealey itself doesn't have a huge amount to offer - except peace and quiet, and a lack of distractions (which might be seen as a good thing). The location is a good stepping stone for Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge, which are all fantastic. There are also some great National Trust properties not far away. As for the property, it is great... spacious, comfortable, well equipped... We stayed as two families with two kids each and one...

"Cronkhill is in a beautiful location, very well situated for exploring the fabulous Shropshire Hills and nearby Attingham Park. Cronkhill is a substantial house with a genuine farmhouse feel. It has a well stocked kitchen and the dining room easily seats 12-14 people. The lounge is spacious and the log fire is excellent (the chimney draws well and the fire gets going quickly). "An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. It was likely that vermin would be attracted...

"Lovely cabin, equipped with everything we needed for a couple of nights. No towels, but we knew that as communication beforehand was really good. The area is lovely, with horses on the premises and great walking around."
