"Welcoming owners Helen and Andy provide a warm, comfortable and luxurious B&B in the heart of lovely Eccleshall. Helen's artsy skill are shared in abundance, with every little detail attended to. Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience."

"I really wanted to like this place because it’s a nice setting, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by a very tired room that clearly hasn't seen a deep clean or maintenance in a long time.
The Room Condition
The level of neglect was honestly shocking.
• Walls & Carpets: The room is full of scuffs and what looks like possible blood splatter on the walls (see photos).
• Maintenance: Cracks in the plaster and chipped paint throughout made the space feel grimy rather than cozy.
Sleep Quality
If you’re looking for a restful night, look elsewhere.
• The Bed: I dealt with a lumpy, uncomfortable bed paired with thin, uncomfortable pillows that offered zero support.
• Noise: To make matters worse, my room backed onto the yard. There is a loud generator noise throughout the night that made it nearly impossible to sleep.
Bottom line: It's a shame because the exterior and grounds are lovely, but the interiors are in desperate need of an overhaul. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they address the hygiene and noise issues."
"Where do I start! We stayed here 4 years ago and it was marvellous.it was thriving ,busy, Bustling .
This time when we arrived we was told check in your car else you’ll get a fine ( great fair enough.)
Then sign in and il take a card off you just in case your room gets trashed! Wow! We’re in our 60’s definitely not rock stars, id rather watch telly than chuck it out of the window!
The chap then said it’s so busy here because of the bank holiday ( Monday) that the dining room may not have space / to book in as soon as possible! We didn’t want to dine in as we went into the town anyway.
Breakfast was 7-9 again because it was busy .
Room was comfortable and clean but tired! Creaky floor boards .
Went down to breakfast at 8am not a soul to be seen. There was a list of how many rooms booked for breakfast. They were so busy yeah. 5! 3 had already been and gone! We waited a good 5 minutes before we even saw anyone.
Then we had breakfast which was nice but instead of buffet it was given to us plated .
On leaving an hour later.took cards back to reception. Not a word . We won’t be back again! Travel lodge cheaper £ 97 I didn’t expect the world but much better than what we got"
"Fabulous hotel, stopped here a few times & will be back again
Staff very helpful from reception, breakfast to cleaners, all polite & making sure your stay is well
Room clean, spacious, was let in quickly due to arriving early, breakfast enough choice
Great for town centre & also not far from iron museums"
"In the room the carpet was filthy. The mattresses were too soft. The internet was poor.
The downstairs area looked very uninviting, like it had been left to rot. It was dark and depressing. There was no nice common area to sit and relax in.
The carpet on the way to the rooms looked like it hadn't been changed since the 1950s and was threadbare and dirty. The area near the landing toilets was old and smelled of sewage
The whole place needs an absolutely thorough makeover."
"Rooms are very clean and have everything you need. Beds are very comfy.
Only problem was how loud the room doors slam, very annoying for getting a good sleep and can be quite loud if your room is facing onto the car park as the bar area gets busy and a lot of people stand outside to smoke etc quite late at night.
Other than that, great place to stay with great amenities"
"Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was as you'd expect for the price, bed was a bit uncomfortable but clean, and the shower / bathroom was great (hot water, powerful shower).
Loads of parking , just heading round the side as the front looks very sketchy!"
