"Excellence El Carmen - Dominican Republic is a wonderful choice for an all-inclusive luxury vacation. It is nicely designed and organized so that you can be either active day and night, or alternatively, nice and quiet. The rooms are large and have beautiful balconies to enjoy. The beach is clean and easy to walk for several km in either direction. The food in the lunch and dinner restaurants is good, not great. The breakfast buffet is extensive with a huge variety available for you to enjoy. The Club pools are nice and quiet, while the main pool and beach are very active. We give a special shoutout to Jerson, bartending at the Club Pool. A major shoutout also goes to our guest services host Marleny. Marleny looked after anything that we needed during our stay, and made the vacation that much more enjoyable. She is an invaluable resource. This was our first experience at an Excellence property, and we look forward to many more in the future!"

"Aside from the arrival, this resort is all we could ask for. There are two resorts named excellence about 15 minutes apart and we didn’t know we were at the wrong one until after our driver had left. I think the staff should not have been surprised and may have prevented the confusion at the gate. But the rest of the stay was incredible! "
