"The room was super clean, the staff were really friendly, and the welcome wine was amazing. We switched room types between the first and second night, and this one had awesome natural light and great heating. Only thing was the water pressure—it was a bit low. Still, I’d totally come back here!"

"Staying in a cave was so awesome. Julia and the staff were amazing. The wine happy hour was fun and breakfast was very good. It was worth staying here. We did not get to use the pool area but it was calm, serene and beautiful. The entire facility had a calmness to it thst just relaxed you and made you feel welcome. "

"Spacious cave room with a nice bathroom within walking distance of everything. An excellent breakfast. Remember that you can’t park here and must park outside of the zone on the street. Matera is amazing."

"It’s a very nice cave hotel that is very conveniently located to explore the old Matera on foot. It is safe and quiet at night. There is also a very good restaurant right outside the door Dominica was absolutely wonderful. She came to meet me all the way at the airport, even though my flight was delayed and I didn’t arrive until the evening. She also gave me a detailed information on what to see in the town, the most important landmarks, where to go for nice views, where to go out to eat, etc. She essentially provided me with the whole itinerary for my 3 day stay on Matera, which was incredibly helpful. Throughout my stay, Domenica was very helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this unique hotel. "
