Located in walking distance to Old Town. newly renovated so very nice. host, Rino, was very accommodating and provided good information. highly recommend.
Clean room, spacious bathroom, great location, well set up. Only issue is parking is not right by and we needed to pay. Other than that , this is a great place to stay
Cute little room with a mini fridge and clean bathroom. Less than a 5-minute walk to Sassi di Matera. Wonderfully convenient, close to restaurants and cafes. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Washroom was clean as well. I would stay here again.
Playful manner the room was decorated in. Attractive colour scheme and decor, extra effort was made to make the space feel warm and appealing.
Clean and functional bathroom. Comfortable bed. Very walkable neighborhood, we parked our car for three days and had close access to stores, restaurants, and the historic district. Excellent home base location.
Comfortable room, very clean. I walked from the train station (10-15 min) and to the bus station (25 min). You can easily walk everywhere and there are a lot of good dining options around. The owners are very nice and it’s easy to communicate with them on Whatsapp. I would highly recommend.
Decent room. Good position within walking distance to interesting areas. Parking should be included, but it was absolutely not. We could only park in a public underground parking lot, and it cost 17 € for one night. We were also not satisfied with the lead-up to our visit. We were supposed to get check-in instruction 24 hours before - I had tried to make contact twice and started to worry. We only got a message 1 hour before check-in time. And the host wanted us to send photos of our passport/ID by mail - but you should never do so since the security is not ok at all. We called the host after arrival, and after few minutes he came and opened the door.
Rino met us at the property and was an outstanding host. He answered any questions and gave us suggestions for Matera. He also spoke English well.
The room was in a perfect location for seeing Matera, only two short blocks until this beautiful city came into view.
There is plenty of street parking and also nearby pay parking. We saw people lugging their luggage in and out of Matera, and this seemed much easier.
When we come back we will stay here again.
Fantastic location very close to the Sassi and to a cafe for breakfast.
Rino was very friendly and helpful. He didn’t always reply immediately to messages but we had no problems with arranging to meet to check in at a time that suited us. He gave us excellent recommendations for dining.
The metal bed was comfortable but a bit creaky.
We came in May and found a parking space 50m from the appartment. Not sure if it would have been so easy during high season. Overall it met our needs.
We were in Matera for their regional holiday (unplanned) and this stay was the perfect spot to be in, 5 minute walk from everything. Thank you very much
Very quiet area of Matera. We couldn't meet the owners but we got quiclky the keys.
The room was large and with a good equipment.
Easy parking in March but you have to pay.
Very nice and convenient spot to experience Matera, which is a must see city landscape. Clear and easy to follow instructions provided by host made check-in super smooth. Parking instructions were also invaluable.
Lovely room in a nondescript building. Easy walk to the Stassi area. Great, well-supplied, shared kitchen. Nino was a great host, friendly and informative.
Before our arrival, we only received Expedia confirmation, which did not include direct contact info with owner.
I messaged owner via Expedia app, the day before but no reply. We were supposed to receive check in instructions day(s) before.
We arrived extra early to find the apartment and tried calling owner. Luckily, owner understood we were early and at apartment, so sent her husband to greet us. He spoke enough english to explain things and gave us tips on seeing Matera.
Thank goodness it all worked out.
