"We booked this very last minute because we decided at the last minute to visit Cinque Terre so I didn’t read too much about what it looked like. 1. The rooms are set away from the reception area and you have to go down gravel steps. I’m pretty young and ok with it, but my 66-year-old mom struggled. So be prepared for that. "Everything you need, nothing you don’t. Could not be more convenient to the train and the waterfront. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Occasionally it could be noisy, as it’s on the hiking path, but it quiets down in the evening. It’s very small and there’s nowhere to hang wet coats/clothes after a rainy day, but hopefully most people enjoy it in good weather! "

"We stayed July 13-16, 2025 and we were delighted with the service and friendliness of ALL the staff- they were like a second family. Andrea was very helpful, and accommodating and friendly. Let us have a choice of rooms, and made himself available at any hour. The room was nice, clean and big. The bathroom was also nice with the biggest and best shower of any place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Italy.
Very easy to access from the parking garages, quiet, clean and comfortable for a wonderful experience. If I ever make it back to the Cinque Terre I will definitely stay at Albergo Al Carugio again."

It may be tricky to find, but the reviews were helpful. We arranged a taxi to pick us up near the train station (25 €) and also at pick up time.
We walked to the town through the path from the location. We are not hikers but yet we did a pretty good job and enjoyed the views and nature all the way down. To come up, we took a bus (towards Sn. Bernardino ) and then walked for about 15 minutes to our location. The staff was nice and prepared a really nice breakfast for us both days. We really enjoyed our stay there. "

"This is a wonderful apartment! I simply can not say enough kind words about the hosts. Davide communicated so well before our stay- suggesting restaurants and things to do, options for getting to the home, and even offered assistance with our bags and taxis! We did the sunset cruise of the towns with Fish & Chill that Davide recommended and it was fabulous! The apartment is clean, cute and worked wonderfully for us. It is located right near many restaurants, the beach and train station. If there were more stars I would rate this higher! "
