"I love the historical history of this hotel. I know its hard times right now to keep up the property (its large) and too expensive to cool the whole building; but the rooms are very nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again, its a great value and not a long drive to the Galveston cruise terminal (about an hour). This is now my go to for a night before boarding."

"Great place, clean, friendly. Our shower head had a leak and made a huge mess on the floor. Mostly just makes me sad for the cleaning staff. There will be lots of wet towels on the floor for them to deal with. We will stay again."

"The lady at the front desk was so sweet and kind. I asked her where the nearest shop to buy my son a boogie board was and she gave him one of her own. She saved this Mom time so I got to spend more time with my family instead of shopping. It was less than a one minute walk to the beach.
