The room was spotless clean. Great staff and really helpful went for working reasons, but this place has the most beautiful pool outdoor and the beach it’s amazing. I’ll come back soon.

The property is a little outdated. Besides that, on a decent beach, nice pool, bar is reasonably priced…not too far from the airport but far enough to not be in the hustle and bustle of sanjuan but unfortunately it is a becoming a lot more Americanized. North central location of the island. Get a car and explore.

The hotel room was pretty clean and well organized. However, The staff from the front desk were not polite; not organized as a team. While one was on the phone, four others were on the side talking among themselves while we were waiting. I was just there once to ask for a towel with the card in hand. The staff wasnt even happy at all, like they didnt like their job.

The hotel is beautiful and the pool area is amazing! But I am rating it low, because we waited 1 hr and 45 minutes in line to do the checking, because they did not have enough staff to handle the high # of check-ins they had the day I arrived. They also did not have enough towels for the pool to accommodate all guests, so we had to go to the front desk several times till they had some available. I also did not like that it was so far from so many other things in the city, and spent too much money on Ubers to/from places.

The pool guys provided an excellent service. The front desk at checkout did not let us finish our lunch at the pool and demanded pay $55/pp to stay. Poor customer service for a puerto rican family that came to the island for a short vacation

I really like the pool and is on the beach. Parking is not included, the tiny little shampoo and conditioner are a one time only no matter how many days are you staying. The carpet on hallway was wet for the days we rented and was not cleaned up. The reception counter was not professional in anyway. They treated me like they were doing me a favor. The pool bar never had a bartender when we used the pool. For food you need to go to the Embassy hotel next door. The hotel need an upgrade, the beds are full size not queen. The pillows are old and found two roaches on counter next to coffee maker. Will Not recommend this place.

From reading the reviews I knew it was older hotel. I read about the staff and that was true. One person in particular always seem rude and like we were annoying him just with our presence. There was two roaches in our room. We also kept asking for toilet paper for a family of 4 we were given 2 rolls the second one we had to ask. There was no room service and had to wash our own towels. We had a suite so we were able to do that. My kids slept on the sofa bed and I also had to ask for blankets and pillows to set it up. Which is fine but usually those are already provided in the room. We pretty much had to ask for everything and it took them a while to get it for us. The pool is big and the time we did spend at the hotel we enjoyed the pool. The beach area is small. We didn’t plant to spend time in our hotel because we did a lot of exploring the island but we will never stay at this hotel again. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

The only great thing was the pool outside area. Other than that. Room needs updating. For example. 1. Phones do not work for service. 2. Yiu have to ask for toluene paper when done sadly. 3. Showered were stained and dirty. 4. Bed sheets could have been cleaned daily. 5. Drain does not go down in shower. 6. Baby roaches seen. 7. Vacuumed only once out of 6 days. 8. Hear noises clearly through walls. I will stop here. However I appreciate I got to sleep and shower. Thanks The island is beautiful, you get what you pay for.

Room smelt horrible Room door lock broken wouldn’t lock Room and bathroom filthy No refund from hotel or Expedia. No offer to clean room. Told these are the rooms that are offered through Expedia cannot change rooms. I booked a different hotel at my cost and again no refund from the hotel or Expedia.

The outdoor pool area is well maintained as it is shared with the Embassy Suites. However the guest rooms are a different story. We had so many problems that they moved us 3 different times since each room had an issue maintenance was unable to fix right away. The furniture is in desperate need of replacement, the doors are missing security locks and even door handles would come off. We were 4 in a room but they only provided 2 towels. We had to go hunt for the additional towels since housekeeping never came to deliver them. I could go on but I won't. All I know is that I won't be returning to this location.

The beds were HORRENDOUS and the carpeting was filthy, in the room as well as the hall. The bed was the least comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. Despite there being 3 people on the reservation, we got 2 pillows, and 2 towels and absolutely zero bedding for the sofa bed which is the only place a third person could sleep. It took me asking 4 times to finally get extra towels ( for a 6 night stay) and a pillow for my daughter. The pillows are also horrible. The housekeeping staff was extremely helpful when they would come by the room but were extremely rude when they assumed I didn’t speak Spanish and couldn’t understand them at the front desk. I am only giving this place 2 stars because of the pool, where we spent 70% of the time at the hotel. The pool is awesome. While you have to pay for parking, the machine works when it wants to, we had to get new parking passes on 4 different occasions because it wouldn’t scan our cards. They say there is someone at the desk 24 hours, and we even asked because we had an extremely early check out due to a 5am flight. Low and behold, no one was there and you have to check out because you have to return towel and beach access cards that carry heavy fees if you don’t. All in all, I wouldn’t stay again or recommend.

Great staff, amenities are very good, the a little bit rocky but calm, clean ang relatively saved. Nice pool but shallow as well. Unable to visit the casino, the bowling alley and the go carts area due to time constraints. Overall, Dorado is a beautiful town you must stay, fully of restaurants, high class golfing and a nice public beach.
