The Alton is a very nice hotel and well located. A short walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The afternoon happy hour was a pleasant surprise and the morning coffee was very appreciated. Highly recommend the hotel

Hotel felt safe and secure with clean and spacious room in a convenient location. Breakfast was not the usual but it was good. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bottled water were nice amenities. Hotel is a bit DIY when it comes to luggage handling.
