"This stay was a wonderful experience! We spent Christmas at Gloria's house and it was perfect. The house and grounds are beautiful, with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed the well-maintained trail down to the river from the house, and visited the Blue Falls - highly recommend for those able to manage some stairs and elevation. "The first thing to note is the drive up to the hotel—it’s very bumpy and uneven. If you’re driving, it’s best to take it slow, and ideally use a rental car you don’t mind putting through rough terrain. During our stay, we ran into a few issues with the staff, mainly around excursions being booked incorrectly and some basic questions not being answered clearly. While this was a bit frustrating, the stay itself was still pleasant overall. Food at the hotel felt somewhat overpriced for what you get. I’d recommend eating at nearby sodas instead, where the food is generally better and more reasonably priced. Overall, the hotel was solid for the price. The main downside was the service, which could benefit from being more professional and organized. With improvements in that area, the experience would be much better."
