My husband love this hotel , we have gone 3years in a row for a alone getaway. It’s walking distance to the riverwalk . They have valet service for parking with an app that when you want to request your car . Breakfast is great!

If you like historic this is great if you are expecting updated amenities to go with it this might not be the place for you. A comfortable stay and affordable. There's an Indian restaurant in the lobby and the food is amazing but the aroma of curry ruminates through the lobby.

It is a very old historic building. However, the room and the bathroom were updated and clean. Breakfast was good. It is a very convenient place to stay for visiting the Alamo and the San Antonio River Walk. Use the inexpensive parking in the lot on the corner a half block away on the same street. Some use valet at the hotel but this lot is less expensive and very convenient. You pay by phone.

Absolutely the best place to stay. Walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Excellent food at the Indian restaurant on the hotel property. Staff was very helpful and friendly . Room was very comfortable.

The room was very clean when we came in and the staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was AMAZING highly recommended the chorizo sausage. Overall the stay was amazing and we can’t wait to stay in this hotel again

Check in was smooth, every staff member we interacted with was very kind and helpful (and even took our totalled luggage for disposal - thank you very much). The elevators are small but do what they need to do. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, all the usual continental breakfast fare. The hotel is close to transit/attractions. Overall very satisfied and would stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff, restaurant attached was delicious. Everything said they had basic toiletries in case if you forgot something, specifically shaving cream. When asked for it, they didn’t have it. That was literally the only thing negative, which quite honestly doesn’t even matter. You will enjoy your stay.

I liked the hotel. It’s in a great location, and the included breakfast was excellent. Having coffee and water available all day was a wonderful touch. The female staff members were especially kind and helpful. The room was never cleaned during our stay; over three days, only the towels were changed. The male staff members at the front desk came across as somewhat rude and could have treated guests more courteously. Everything else was very good, and I would recommend the hotel. I hope the service at the front desk improves.

It was a comfortable stay. The hotel and the room were clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast left much to be desired, nothing fresh, no fruit and lots of processed carbs and powdered eggs. My room was on the 7th floor which had steps, leading to the rooms, so it was no fun carrying a suitcase up and down those stairs. The hotel was in walking distance to all attraction downtown, which I appreciated. I felt safe.

Hotel 1914 was true early 20th C. flavor with some modern updates .It has character, which most modern hotels don’t have . We found everyone we met to be helpful and friendly .
