This was a very nice no-frills room. Our room was next to the water fountain which was relaxing. It was very clean and looked like it had been renovated recently. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were NOT. Next time we will bring our own pillows. Great price and location, as we were going to my grandson's baseball tournament at the college which was very close. We went downtown (which was super close) for breakfast. Very cute downtown area with lots of restaurants. We would book there again.

The room was recently completely remodeled, in great shape. They are clearly working hard to update this mid-century motel. The street is like many on the edge of town, mixed. There is a terrific diner a block west, new, excellent food and service.

Steinbeck Lodge was fine overall for location to some dining options on Main St. and our visit to Pinnacles National Park. The issue we had was it was quite noisy at nighttime . But access to a w/d was great!

Clean room and friendly staff. Parking is a bit tight, and there was no Kleenex in the room. Otherwise had a nice quiet and comfortable stay.

Everything was great about this place, the location felt safe and we were very comfortable. the only reason we had one less star was because we did find a tiny roach in our room on the first night. we were able to remove it and didn’t see anything after that. Property is otherwise very well kept.

This is a fairly well maintained economy lodge in Salinas. It is on the edge of an area of town that seems a bit rundown, but felt safe and it was conveniently close to a very nice cafe across the street and not far from Old Town and the Steinbeck Center. It was also easy to travel to Monterey for a visit to Cannery Row and the Aquarium . Price point was much better than the coast and the room was comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay...the property is well maintained, centrally located, quiet and safe on-site parking. The rooms are reasonably priced, clean and comfortable...AC, TV, etc. The staff are great and very accommodating. We will definitely be staying there when we return to town. Highly recommend.
