The lights in the parking lot were a little too bright all night. The rooms could benefit from an extra curtain. There is also quite a bit of street noise otherwise an exceptionally clean room and especially our bathroom

parking was a little tight but fine. the location wasn't the best with homeless folks wandering nearby, but it was overall clean and a fair price for what you got! newly remodeled with lots of places to plug in electronics. Bed was comfortable. MIni fridge was very loud. I liked the table that you could roll out for convenience with my laptop.

The rooms were clean and furnishings looked brand new, were stylish and thoughtfully planned. The bed was very comfortable! One reason I booked us at the Steinbeck was its location away from the 101 Hwy. Although there was some street noise overall it was quieter than any other Salinas lodgings I'd stayed in on previous occasions. Occasionally there was noise from the plumbing, perhaps from another room. I will book the Steinbeck Lodge during our next stay in Salinas.

I think the people were nice. The place was clean. The rooms were good but could use Kleenex in rooms. I’d say the less-than-perfect score is due to the construction workers there. It seems like a group of men live there that work construction and seem to have taken over a bit. They’d hang out outside of their hotel rooms and were somewhat loud. Didn’t make me feel super comfortable. They were fine and no problems but it just felt weird to me.
