"STAFF POLITE AND HELPFUL.
GOOD BREAKFAST, HOT AND GOOD CHOICE OF FOOD
EVENING MEAL HOT AND TASTFUL
FIRE ALARM SOUNDED AT 3AM AND WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO RESPONDED...VERY HELPFUL STAFF WHO SAID IT WAS A FALSE ALARM."
"Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last."
"This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer.
Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it.
We could get...
"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."
"We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again."
