Even in the winter, this home is well equipped for a great time. I especially enjoyed the stars and spending the evening by the fire, in the hot tub and sauna. Would stay again. "Melynda is an amazing host. Melynda's home is what all other vacation rentals should aspire to become. The house is spotless and well stocked. The amenities are amazing. The beds are comfortable and you will miss the shower when you get home. The location is fantastic. The neighbor is very kind. The beach is quiet. We walked for miles every day and collected huge shells. Our dogs loved the walks and the dolphins put on quite a show. The sunrises and sunsets are phenomenal and I hope everyone can experience a foggy day while at Alligator point...pure magic. We cooked from scratch meals every day and had literally everything we needed. We look forward to returning to this home. Melynda goes above and beyond to care for her guests and her home. "

"The cottage is perfectly clean and furnished with many cozy touches as well as beautiful art. Wendy is one of the most friendly and welcoming hosts of any place where we've visited. What we enjoy the most about the house is the location in a quiet, non-crowded area away from traffic, with only the birds and sea life surrounding us. The view of sunrise and sunset from the screened porch is beyond compare!"

"If you’re searching for the ideal Old Florida beach house, where time slows down and life moves at a different pace, this is it. We had a wonderful stay with our family of 4 and our dog (didn’t use 3 of the bedrooms, the house was bigger than expected). I used to come to alligator point as a child and haven’t been back in years, wanted to show my kids and husband this peaceful area of the forgotten coast. The house was wonderful and reminded me of the cottage my family had as a child, wooden beams and walls, beautiful old Florida style you don’t see much anymore. I loved the sunken sitting area and of course the beautiful beach views and also a long dock on the bay side. The kids enjoyed the pickleball courts and fishing beach and bay. Robin the host was great. Hope to come back again. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Spotted Grouper. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, and the sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico were beautiful. We enjoyed walking on the beach, collecting shells, and really appreciated how close to nature the area is — including an unexpected bear sighting!We stayed in December, which was a great time to visit: cool and chilly mornings and evenings, with sunny, comfortably warm days. I traveled from Annapolis with my mom, and the trip was especially meaningful because we were visiting my son, who stayed with us. The space was perfect for spending time together and cooking meals as a family.The hostess was great — gracious and accommodating to our needs. The cottage was clean and inviting. We would absolutely stay here again and will definitely return when we’re in town visiting my son."
