Happy Shack BEACH & BAY! Kayak, paddle boards, tiki hut, firepit, grille, wifi

"This was our first stay at the Happy Shack but it will not be our last. It's name says it all. It is such a fun, whimsical, eclectic, happy place to be if you want a great vacation and a break from reality and the everyday hustle and bustle of life. We where there over Labor Day Weekend and through the week. We maybe saw 3 or 4 families near the private beach access over the Holiday weekend and there was literally no one else there during the week but us. It was like having our own private beach all to ourselves. It is a very easy and quick walk across the street. My husband and boys enjoyed fishing off the beach and one of them even caught a stingray. I saw multiple dolphins feeding on mullet just feet from the shore before sunset one evening. And the first walk on the beach I found my first whole sand dollar in it's natural setting, I had never found one of those before just walking the beach. Just Amazing is all I can say about the Happy Shack!!"

"Wonderful vacation home. The beach views were amazing. We saw dolphins playing within feet of the shore and witnessed spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Very comfortably appointed house."

"When we arrived there was construction happening in front of the property (building a house directly in front of this one). Unfortunately it was blocking the unobstructed ocean view that was advertised. The construction was going to take place during the entire time of our stay. I contacted the host Kevin to let him know of the construction and that we would prefer to move to a different property since it was not as advertised and the noise would be an issue. . He was very understanding and we worked out to stay a couple days until after the holiday weekend so to be able to move to another property. He offered a refund for the days we would be leaving and even allowed for a late checkout to check into the new property. He was an awesome host and very accommodating for the unfortunate timing of the construction . Unfortunately VRBO didn't offer a refund on the taxes and fees (they only offered a small vrbo credit) so I ended up paying an extra few hundred dollars to move locations. Overall given that neither us, nor the host, knew about the construction we worked it out the best we could. Kevin was one of the best hosts to deal with. Wish the house construction wasn't taking place and we could have stayed the entire week."

"We loved the location and the beach access was perfect for fishing and enjoying the captivating sunsets! The morning stargazing before sunrise was spectacular as well from the barstools on the back deck facing the ocean. Favorite moments were watching the monarch butterfly migration daily from the back patio area and watching the porpoises swim down the shoreline. The men saw sea turtles and sharks from their kayaks. Also, we enjoyed the screened in porch area during the heat of the day for relaxing! The home provides so many conveniences, seating areas, and warm touches. I especially enjoyed the “Turtle Room” and Tiki theme throughout the indoor and outdoor areas. I would highly recommend this home for couples or families!"

"Great beach bungalow. Pictures don’t do it justice. Much more spacious than we anticipated. Had everything we needed. Very cute and wonderful views of the beach. Area was great for us, quiet, private, not touristy at all. We saw so many stars at night, even saw the Milky Way the first night there. Definitely recommend if you are looking for that old school small Florida beach house vibe."
