A lovely spot on the coast with amazing views and 2 min walk down to the beach. We should have booked for longer than one night. Rosalie was an awesome host, gave us loads of advice and was always ready to help.

NYE stay

Awesome place to stay! Lovely beach views! Recommend to all!
Awesome place to stay! Amazing views! Just a short walk to the beach. Very friendly property manager. Had the best weekend! Kids loved swimming at the beach! Also a nice safe river for the kids to swim in. Fishing wasn't the best the weekend we went. We will be back for sure!

this house old and stinks . iMy son and myself had allergy and couldnt sleep for the whole three nights.my eyes swollen strainghtaway from the allergy.all the cutleries and pots frypans are million years old.

This horrific comment is not worth a response .. Note that this Bach is cleaned thoroughly after each guest whether they have cleaned, or not. Dettol spray is used. These guests did not clean and left it disgusting. Genuine comments are appreciated. This was not genuine.

Restful and Friendly
We had a restful time at in this picturesque spot. The close proximity to the beach was exactly what we were looking for. Our hostess was friendly, checked on us to see if we needed anything and made our stay very comfortable. Definitely will be coming back.

just what we needed
The bach location is remote, overlooking a pristine NZ beach with very few people, which was just what I was after. Bach is within 100m of the beach. The owner is helpful, responded promptly to my emailed queries, even while coping with a bunch of other challenges, and we enjoyed our stay.

Cody, comfy cabin with the most spectacular view. Friendly, warm and welcoming host as well as the furry friends. Beach is idyllic! Pure bliss! My families favourite beach!

Lovely quiet beach
Property is perfect for a couple or small family. Easy to get to beach, great view from house. Rosalie is friendly and generous, but not obtrusive. Remember to bring everything you need. Porangahau shop is 20km away over a metal road. Bring kayaks or body boards.

Lovely spot for a relaxing break
This is a great place to get away and relax, we enjoyed walking on the beach and watching sunsets. The crayfish from Rosalie were very much appreciated and delicious.

Stunning and peaceful with a great view
Nice little bach with a big view on the piece of paradise. The beach is 5mins walk down the drive way and the last bit of road. The bach is basic, very clean with everything you need. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home from the first. We loved the covered porch, the proximity to the beach and listening to the waves day and night. Thanks for sharing that with us!

An escape to the quiet life
We loved our stay. Fun little NZ bach with a quirky layout and everything we needed. Comfy bed :-). Views of the sea and cliffs from the sun room that runs along the front. Less than 5 minutes stroll to the beach. There’s a walk along the top of the cliffs and along the beach during low tide, including an awesome reef with rock pools. Friendly owners, very hospitable and generous, and their dogs are gregarious and have great personalities. There is no mobile reception or internet at the bach, which was exactly what we needed and wanted! But you can get mobile reception on the beach reserve so not totally out of contact, and the owners offered us use of their wifi, which we didn’t take up. Loved it!!!!

The weather was unfortunately a very bad storm, so didnt get to check anything out but place was clean and tidy, needing heat pump fixed though and bathroom was cold. I would stay again and hopefully when its nice enough to get to see the beach. Thank you

For some reason the heat pump has never worked since installation and there was a perfectly adequate heater in the accommodation. There has never been a heater in the bathroom. We were unable to control the weather and have never been able to do so. Because of the current World situation with covid I can assure you that not only is our property clean, it is also deep cleaned.

Rosalie and Ossie are wonderful hosts with excellent and interesting knowledge of the area and its history. They were friendly and great for a chat but also left us to do our own thing; perfect! Amazing location & hosts
We had such a great weekend. The location is amazing with gorgeous sea view. Short walk down to beach, with sand, rocks, and great swimming spot for the kids to play in the water. Bach was just perfect for our family of 4. Everything you could possibly need for kitchen, homewares. Huge front porch where you can eat dinners and sit and enjoy the view. The hosts are absolutely lovey people. So welcoming and kind. They are so knowledgeable about the area and just genuinely lovely people. We will definitely return!!

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Melina, Scott and boys to our piece of paradise and we hope to keep contact in the future. Our dog has been totally lost since the boys left .. bring diving gear next time Scott.
