Just had our third stay in our favourite cottage. The amenities, cottage and surroundings are amazing. We find the property child friendly as both of our children are young and we spend a lot of time out, but because of the peaceful surroundings (and prominent water feature) I'd be hesitant to recommend bringing kids with lots of energy. We will be back!

The cottage was outstanding. The most beautiful garden we have ever had in a property. So peaceful, it was like our own slice of heaven! The cottage inside was exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Could not recommend highly enough.

We couldn't rate Lawn Cottages highly enough. The location was very quiet, in well kept gardens, easy access to Hastings and Clive, by car. The cottage was very modern inside, and everything we needed was provided for, even down to a first aid kit! The detail was impressive. The kitchen was well kitted out. Laundry was on site, which was really important to us and this was easy to access and use. . It felt modern, fresh and clean, just what we were looking for and it made our stay in Hastings so enjoyable.

Fantastic property. Really well maintained, excellent amenities and extras (eggs, bread and full bottle of milk so appreciated!). Owner/manager communicates clearly and is very friendly. The property is close to the settlement of Clive and about 15mins to drive to Napier waterfront. We did have a very loud pukeko visit at 6:30am two days in a row, but I'm pretty sure he's not an actual employee! Looking forward to our next visit.

Bath towels a little on the small side. Not sure if the underfloor heating was working - it claimed to be at 22 degrees at one point but I couldn't feel it. We have UFH at home so I know it should feel like. Netflix access a positive. Overall very well presented, clean and tidy.

We enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and exceptional kitchen with all the equipment we needed to be able to cook our meals. The location is very quiet but close enough to Hastings and Napier for restaurants and shopping.
