Worst Experience Ever at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort My family and I just spent 10 agonizing days at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, and it was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The food was abysmal – every meal was worse than the last. The room was in deplorable condition: it smelled awful, the mattress was filthy, and the overall cleanliness was nonexistent. The pool area was a disaster. It was never cleaned and constantly dirty, and there were never any towels available. The lack of service extended to the pool bar, where the only drinks they offered were mojitos and strawberry concoctions. The so-called guest service was indifferent and dismissive of our concerns. To make matters worse, the beach was completely unusable – it was so rocky that swimming was out of the question. And don’t be fooled by other positive reviews; the hotel bribes people with 2000 pesos for glowing feedback. I saw many guests leaving early, unable to endure their stay. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. We will never return.

Our experience at this place for the first time was awful. First when we arrived the lobby was full of people , very hot, no AC in their lobby, check in process took awhile and the time share people from the hotel kept harassing us while all we wanted was to get checked in and get to our room, once we got to our room the tub was super dirty, the ac minisplit in the room leaked water the whole time causing puddles and puddles of water when I tried calling the staff they never picked up. We then tried to go eat the guy at the tacos was very rude and when tacos were served the tortilla was so cold they didnt even heat it up. I went up to the lobby and told them I wanted to check out next day and asked if I could get a refund for the remaininf days they said to work with expedia which expedia said they didnt answer them. Honestly this place is not worth your time and money its an awful place, dirty, and beach is not nice the cenotes are full of dirt nothing is clean.

Beach wasn’t useable to swim in, pool was dirty, food was almost uneatable (poor taste and quality), alcoholic drinks tasted cheap, they were unprepared for the weather as there was flooding throughout the resort and a thigh high puddle across our walkway.

Primera y última vez, mil veces Sandos Playacar. Lamentablemente Caracol está muy muy mal ubicado, el servicio es pésimo, la comida horrible excepto el restaurante Italiano.
