"Great location. Just past the main tourist walking street in Pingyao and it is accessible by licensed vehicles. The owner arranged a free pick up from the regular train station. Location is excellent. We also got upgraded to a better room with a larger bath. Room is very clean, bed is very comfy and owner is super nice explaining all the attractions, tours and shows patiently. The check in was very smooth and they even arranged pick up and drop off from and to the train station, which was seamless. The rooms were very clean, as well as the bathroom. "Wonderful hotel set in an ancient mansion. Staff were helpful and friendly and focused on improving the guest experience. Wonderful breakfast whether you ordered Western or Chinese. We ate the special set menu dinner. Definitely the best restaurant in Pingyao. Staff had a proficient level of English which enabled us to have a better experience visiting the historical sights in the walled city. Our two night stay was a five star experience."
