"Seven of us stayed for a week in August in four separate bedrooms on the property during a heat wave when the daytime temperatures reached 100F almost every day. It would have made a real difference if at night the rooms could be cooled by putting a box fan in the windows - just a suggestion for the future. Otherwise Monica and Giovanni were wonderfully considerate and made us an incredible dinner on the night we arrived. Having different animals around created an authentic experience of being far away from it all, and the view from the wonderful pool is as amazing as anything we have ever seen in Tuscany."

The accomodation was immaculate and our room was very big with everything you could possibly need, including hair straighteners! The air conditioning was great, given the very warm weather It was in a perfect position just outside the city walls and ideal for walking into the beautiful town on Lucca. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay."

"The stand out things for myself and my friend was Giulia the receptionist she was amazing from picking perfect room to helping us book taxi and asking about our day a true asset to the hotel Settentrionale Hotel Settentrionale Esplanade . The hotel has the most lovely position and beautiful terrace to sit and enjoy and cocktail the aircon works well I. The room the other person to mention is Andrea who checked us in . Breakfast is ok but could do with some fruit salad or strawberry etc but perfectly adequate . The hotel has the grand feel just could do with updates but ignore negative reviews it’s as it’s a quiet place . Thanks again ."
