My fiancé and I, as well as our small dog, stayed at this hotel while having service done on our semi truck down the road. This hotel was disgusting. The lobby and the front desk staff were fine, but from the moment we stepped into the graffiti'd elevator we knew this wasn't going to be a good experience. When we finally got into our room, the smell of musty cigarettes was overwhelming (and curious since we paid a $75 deposit because this is a "non-smoking" hotel). After setting our things down, we had a brief look around the room and immediately discovered it hadn't been properly cleaned. There were pills on the floor, there was food in the air conditioning unit, the bed sheets weren't even fully on the bed, and it was obvious the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in who knows how long. In the age of Covid-19, this immediately made me uneasy, because what else hadn't been cleaned? We refused to stay there and checked out. We can't stay in a place that was as nasty, run down, and unmaintained as that, where we dont feel comfortable or safe.
