I wanted to like this hotel so badly, upon strong recommendations from a friend.
The pros:
Phenomenal location in St. Germain, with shops and restaurants just steps away. 15 min walk to d'Orsay, 20 min to the Louvre. Quiet safe area.
Loved the service here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel.
Very clean. You could tell the special care they take.
Cons:
Major construction made sleeping nearly impossible after 7am (lots of jackhammer noises), not to mention that was the view from my window.
You can expect to hear the door slamming every morning at least two dozen times. Upstairs. Downstairs. Each time each room nearby was being serviced. That alone was enough to drive me crazy.
The room size. I know European rooms tend to be smaller, but this felt like a tiny dorm room. Even the door to the bathroom slid across to save room. I felt a bit claustrophobic, honestly, especially for a room I spent good money for.
No real lobby. There's a restaurant that appears to be a lobby, but no real area for hanging out.
Bottom line: Pay less for elsewhere. Look for a hotel with bigger rooms and just Uber to wherever. Not worth the money, given construction, constant door slamming and tiny rooms.
