"Adequate but there are better hotels. "
This is a pleasent hotel which was in a convenient location for me. What little dealings I had with staff (receptionists) were friendly but they were not aware that I had already paid Expedia for the booking. I was also shocked when I tried to book in during the morning, rather than after 2pm, to find this carried a £20 surcharge.

"Good for overnights on the M1"
Arrived late on a Friday. Easy to find from the M1. Room was small, but ok. Main problem was lack of power points near the bed for recharging the iPhones etc. Reasonable size bath. Good breakfast.

"Good hotel for business trips or short stays."
Overall the stay at the hotel was good. The hotel has ample parking at the front of the site and near reception so that was good, all of the hotel rooms were less then 20 secs from the car park so if you have brought a few bags that shortens the trip back and forth to the car down abit. The reception building seemed to be quite nice and had just been freshly painted by the looks of it. On arrival to my room I have to say the external view of the room block did look tired and could definitely do with being repainted, it also seemed to have some peeling paint and a fair amount of old dirty cobwebs which were not particularly appealing. The room itself was good for what I needed, simple with basic features. It was clean to my eye and didn't have any faulty decor etc. however the bathroom did not have a locking door which was somewhat annoying as I was staying with a work colleege. The room only had two plug sockets and one was being taken up by the TV so I recommend you bring a power strip with you if you intend to have multiple mains powerd devices.. The beds and linen were clean and comfortable so don't really have a problem with any of that. The biggest problem I came across was door entry, we were only given one card and were told we couldn't have another due to "security" reasons, this did cause a few issues as it meant if one person left, one of us would need to stay nearby or we wouldn't be able to get back in... overall for short stays this is a decent option to consider

"Lovely hotel, great facilities."
Nice staff, big modern rooms with coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, iPod dock, and toiletries in the bathroom. Leisure facilities were great although I had to pay a supplement to use them as I'd booked through a third party website not direct with the Village. Good breakfast although the sausages ran out and my little boy wanted seconds!! Overall a very pleasant stay, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

"Hotel fine what I would expect from a chain "
The reason for our stay was a friends wedding, my fiance was playing there. We arrived there early so that he could set up his equipment so I did think we would have a wait before we could check in but luckily there was no wait and a room was available straight away. The hotel itself is very big so was a bit a maze to find our room. The room itself was nice had a comfortable bed and a large flat screen tv, it also had an iron and board but was surprised it did not have a hairdryer. I was also disappointed with the bathroom, the sink units looked quite posh but it was spoilt but the cheap looking bathroom door but they worst thing was the bath, there was rust coming down inside the bath from the metal handle which was very hard to rinse off as the shower was not moveable and would have been impossible to have bath in due to this. Apart from the bathroom the facilities were very good, there was lovely swimming pool and Jacuzzi and the hotel has spa treatments such as manicures and massages.

"Nice hotel Great location"
Enjoyed my stay other than service levels in dining room. Asked if they had stilton on cheese board. Waiter checked and said yes. Waited 45 minutes with not a word from anyone. Asked waiter why the long wait only to be told they had no stilton after all. He then appeared with two unwanted glasses of sparkling wine. When bill arrived you guessed it they had charged for the cheese.
