"For the price we paid, this was excellent! The hotel is stunning when you walk in, the rooms were nicely decorated, if a little grubby but we weren’t expecting 5*. The beds were really comfy. I’m not sure what the rooms would be like in summer as there was no heating or air conditioning and windows didn’t open much. The bars ares were excellent too! Staff were really nice, didn’t seem the best trained in hospitality, which surprised me for a Britannia Hotel but still, we weren’t put off - maybe some staff had called in sick and they were covering? We’d definitely return. "

"Leaking radiator in bathroom, when reception were told, someone came to repair but it ended up being worse. Mattresses weren’t comfortable which made for a sleepless night. Could hear everything from the corridors"

"I didn’t know you had to order the day before so on the day I wanted it I couldn’t , also I wasn’t told that my shower would be down the corridor , the manager was very accommodating and pleasant. "
