"Found this hotel as a stop on the way from Spain to France .Friendly welcome, the restaurants was busy and really good value. Our waitress was a real card and humorous with it. Cannot really fault this place The is an area just up the hill - the Old Town, almost a film set from Dickens well worth a wander around here too."

"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. Our room on the top floor only had...

"An excellent location for an overnight stay en route to Portugal, with amazing views and plenty of space to relax and unwind after many hours in the car. The owners were friendly and very accommodating - providing recommendations for dinner and things to do. "Most of the staff were great, but the waiter in the bar muttered that it was "muy temprano" when I asked for toast and coffee at 7.32am, having been told the café opened at 7.30, and wanting to get hiking at first light."

"Very helpful staff with a lovely clean lobby. The attendant at the desk s as poke multiple languages. She was very helpful in telling us about the city and good places to visit and eat. The rooms were spacious and the shower good. It was quiet. I would only all that the hotel allow customers to darken the LED light on the thermostat because it was so bright at night that we woke up from the glow. There is a mini fridge if that is something you need! Great breakfast! "
