After staying in a very mediocre hotel the night before, Franz Joseph Scenic Hotel was a delight to come to, in a very vibrant little town of Franz Joseph. The room was large, clean and modern and soundproof! Definitely a great place to stay when in Franz Joseph

We received a very helpful welcome and assistance on arrival after a long day. Easy check in, info provided and access to a well appointed Tree House family set up. It was a perfect self catering option to allow us a bit of space for kids but be a perfect base to explore Franz Josef Glacier. All in all, an excellent option!

Arrived late on a Saturday to find friendly hosts who had the heaters going and the free wifi all organised. The room was way better than expected for the price. Modern well laid out and super comfortable. Spotlessly clean. We had booked a spa bath unit and again were pleasantly surprised to find a large corner spa that was great to relax in after enjoying the wonderful walks around fox. We had only booked one night but quickly decided we wanted to stay on as fox glacier had more to offer than...

Lovely large sized room, complete with tea and coffee facilities. Right in the heart of town so only a short walk to the bars and restaurants.

Lovely spacious sunny room. Excellent heating (vital in mid winter). Fabulous breakfast. Great shower and bathroom. Faultless hotel!

We were first of all put into a room in serious need of refurbishment but having complained to the manager we were moved to a newly refurbished room which was excellent. My complaint was dealt with very courteously and efficiently by the manager who has my full admiration for the job she is doing. All staff in the hotel were caring and friendly. Meals we had were good value.
