Legend Hotel Pier 2

10/10 Excellent

"Nice place to stay, friendly staff, fast internet. Breakfast not great, eggs and fries ran out and weren’t replaced."

Guide Education Culture Hotel Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts

8/10 Good

"I think this place would be perfect for short-term stays, but I had a longer stay and picked up on more than I would have liked. Pros: Location is in a great spot, walking distance to transit, amazing late night food, and easy for taxi pickup. The front desk was extremely helpful when we wanted a room change and local recs. The price cannot be beat, especially for the space. The room was spacious enough for two people to rest comfortably. The blankets were soft and the sheets were clean. Cons: For staying a couple nights, I might not have picked up on these issues but there were a lot of things that were overlooked. The place overall was quite dusty. The pillows did have some light dirt stain marks, but not a big deal. Most of my issues were in the bathroom. It’s small but gets the job done, but maybe is too cramped for cleaning to want to do it thoroughly? The floors/walls still had some dirt that should have been scrubbed off, and the sink counter definitely could have used a more thorough wipe down. Lots of dust accumulation in corners. Then there was the obvious growth of black mould because of the dampness. Inside the shower there was a sprinkle on the ceiling. Then by the entrance to the bathroom there was a BIG black spot. I actually tried to wipe it and could see spots growing back the next day through the paint! I only noticed during the last two nights so I sucked it up. I would recommend this place for quick stays, but do a room check for any… interesting spot"

Kindness Hotel ZhongShan Bade

10/10 Excellent

"The property was conveniently located a few blocks from the Kaohsiung train station, making arrival via TRA and departure to the airport via MRT very easy. The bed was comfortable, with a firm bed that helped after long days of sightseeing. This was not my first time at a Kindness hotel, and I booked it based on prior experience. I really like the snacks and drinks available at all times, as well as the daily breakfast. The one thing I found a challenge was the laundry facilities. While it was nice that it was complimentary, it took much longer than expected to dry my clothes in the dryer (over 2 hours). All in all, a very pleasant stay. I would go there again when in Kaohsiung another time."
