This was my favorite art installation on Ogijima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea. It was part of the art festival held every three years, Setouchi Triennale in 2013. The gallery Memory Bottle was installed by Mayumi Kuri. Almost 1,000 bottles are on display, all with pictures or small trinkets inside. In her interview she says that she wanted to gather memories of the local people in Ogijima so she set up a collection box, asking people to put their memories in it. The bottles were lit up with lights and had everything from pictures to train tickets. The gallery is still open even though the next Setouchi Triennale is not until 2016. If you want to see the art during the islands off season, now is the time to go :) * 40min ferry ride from Takamatsu Port. It is about a 1.5hr flight from Tokyo to Takamatsu. "受付前に伝統民芸品を飾るスペースがあり、とても興味深かったです。その中で見た象国塗に目を奪われ、その後高松市内のお店で購入するきっかけとなりました。関連する書籍や、民芸品以外の素敵な書籍も置いてあり、夜にホテルに戻った後にテーブルのスペースで読むこともできて充実した時間を過ごせました。 大浴場もあり、部屋着（パジャマ）もあって、とても良かったです！コストパフォーマンス最高でした。 また隣のホテルから高松空港行きのリムジンバスに乗ることも出来て大変便利でした！"
