Our travel plans changed, making us late to check in, after 10pm at night. However, the staff at Hotel Weiler made the check in process extremely easy. The hotel is located in the perfect location, a nearby early opening bakery providing the perfect solution for jet lag. There are only positive things we cd think of to say about the little gem of a hotel. Location is only a short walk from train and right in the centre of gorgeous Bacharach. Literally over the road from the scenic Rhine 100 metres away to sit on the benches and watch the barges go by. A train track in between but noise didn’t bother us at all. Wanting to end a long holiday with a couple of comfortable nights winding down we chose to spend two nights at Burg Schwarzenstein. Less than an hour from Frankfurt airport overlooking the Rhine valley it was perfectly placed for this. Whilst there is not much to do on site, the surrounding restaurants, villages and forests make this a great location whether travelling as a couple or family. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nicely set out but the rooms are are on the small side of small and no kettle, coffee maker etc. The location of the hotel is great being directly across the road from the river, within walking distance of anywhere in town and a short drive to Burg Eltz. For the cost the room isn’t terrible value but if we are back in the area we would stay elsewhere just simple on the room size and lack of the little comforts in the...
