"Room was very clean and spacious! The property itself is classic. The staff was a bit difficult we would get different information from different staff. They also weren’t very friendly at the restaurant Le Bristol. We had dinner and breakfast there. Dinner was ok. When they asked if we would like to see the wine menu we said “yes we would like to look at it” and the waitress rolled her eyes. The food I would say is average. My husband dish was very dry and lacked flavor. Breakfast was also average and to be honest for the price you pay a big let down. The options are limited and wasn’t anything special. Not likely to stay again. "

"This place sold a room at 8:29 PM and check-in ends at 8 PM. So they took my money and never planned on giving me a room. Then they refused a refund. Bad business practices."

"Great communication with the host, the house was well equipped and clean. Good facilities in the house. You do hear the trains but it did not bother us at all. Easy access to the town centre and the Rhein promenade for walking or catching a cruise. Short walk to the supermarkets or the train station. "

"The place was clean, accommodating, and relaxing. We enjoyed the patio watching the various ships pass by. Bad Salzig is a couple miles away from the center of Balzig. An easy free train ride, or lovely walk along the river, but heads up. Bad Salzig itself is sleepy and closed. We had a beautiful unexpected hike to the nearest Aldi. (We were beholden to public transportation on our trip). The owner was lovely and tolerated our lack of German. "
